Pharmacy is the clinical health science that links medical science with chemistry and it is charged with the discovery, production, disposal, safe and effective use, and control of medications and drugs. Pharmacists provide optimal management of medication. A typical day can involve checking and dispensing medication, compounding medication, communicating with physicians, providing patients with pharmaceutical information, providing patients with health advice, explaining the proper use of medication.

I am specialist in medication
I have information about virtually all specific drugs and several facts about them. I can prepare, compound and provide medicines and pharmaceuticals. I sincerely attempt to keep myself abreast of current developments in my profession.
I am a companion of the physician
I am a counsellor on the merits and demerits of different therapeutic agents. I am the link between the patient and physician and the final check on the safety of medicines.
I am a counsellor to the patient
I help the patient understand the proper use of medicaments. I assist the patient choice of nonprescription drugs or in decision to consult the physician.
I am a guardian of public health
I encourage and promote sound personal health practices. My professional services are available to all at all times. I obey the laws governing the practice of pharmacy and support the enforcement.
PHARMACIST AT WORK:
1.PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY- Pharmacist perform various tasks in pharmaceutical industry ,their work is usually behind the scene not in direct contact with patients yet largely contributing to health care sector;
2.PRACTICE SETTING- Pharmacist perform various tasks in practice settings(community & hospital) and are generally in direct contact with the patients.
